Dem CD3 candidate Romero hosts Grand Valley town hall
Dwayne Romero’s visit to Clifton on Thursday, Aug. 20, presented an opportunity for “shin-kicking” from potential constituents.
The Democratic nominee for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional U.S. House District, who will face incumbent Rep. Jeff Hurd (R-Grand Junction) in November’s election, held a town hall event at the Clifton Community Center, with Grand Junction-based Stand With Veterans organizing the event. A little under 100 potential constituents packed into the room to hear from and speak to the Army veteran and former state economic development director.
“This comes from the military: we serve, we commit, we dedicate ourselves, and we need to have the courage and conviction to stand up for our communities, regardless of what it does for our well-being,” Romero said. “Some of that should be more in place in Congress.”
