Hope Springs from Field PAC’s [website] volunteers have been knocking on doors in Colorado for 11 weeks now. The November ballot is set and this is another place where president felon isn’t helping his party’s incumbents.
Congressman Gabe Evans is facing a challenge from state Rep. Manny Rutinel, D-Commerce City, in a race both major parties agree could determine the House majority after this year’s midterms. The district, which covers counties from suburbs north of Denver to Greeley, has the state’s largest share of Hispanic residents.
CO-08 is also one of the top ten agricultural-producing districts in the country. The district is home to significant livestock production, as well as dairy and grain farming. Agriculture, ranching, oil and gas development are the major pillars of the economy outside its urban areas.
Charlie Cook lists the CO-08 among just 18 in the country that it considers toss-ups. Unaffil…
