U.S. Rep. Laurel Lee hosts a telephone town hall
On Monday, Congress member Laurel Lee, of Florida’s District 15, held a telephone town hall to give updates while in Washington D.C. 9,600 listeners dialed in to hear Lee discuss multiple topics, including support for service members, criminal justice reforms and economic policies.
Lee said she is deeply committed to supporting veterans and active service members.
“I recently introduced the Supporting Military Voters Act a bipartisan bill to ensure our service members and their families can fully participate in our elections,” she said.
This bill would allow active military to vote no matter where they are stationed.
She also shared how she visited MacDill Air Force Base to hear directly from their leaders on ways Congress can help them.
As a former prosecutor and judge, Lee said she wants to continue finding ways to protect the community.
