STONECREST, Ga. — U.S. Rep Hank Johnson sat with several health leaders, community experts and stakeholders at Johnson’s district office on March 18 to discuss the importance of Medicaid in Georgia amid potential federal funding cuts.
The discussion came together in response to a Republican-led House budget resolution made in February that seeks a potential $880 billion reduction from the Energy and Commerce Committee, which runs the Medicaid program, to help pay for tax cuts.
