Georgia’s primary election has led to runoff races across the state.
Several races statewide are projected to go to runoffs after no candidate reached more than 50% of the vote. Those races include the Republican governor’s race, both parties’ lieutenant governor races and the Democratic races for labor commissioner and insurance commissioner.
In Georgia’s midterm primary, 14 congressional districts were on the ballot, and four of those races are projected to go to runoffs. This includes Democratic candidates Ceretta Smith and Traci George, who will face off in June for Georgia’s 12th Congressional District.
