UPDATE: Republican Clay Fuller was sworn into Congress on Tuesday, April 14, following a special election victory to fill the northwest Georgia District 14 seat previously held by former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Fuller will serve the remainder of Greene’s term, which ends in January 2027, and is expected to work closely with President Donald Trump as he joins the GOP’s narrow House majority.
Greene resigned her seat after “a public break” with Trump that escalated into a prolonged political dispute.
In his first remarks on the House floor, Fuller pledged to be an advocate for District 14. “You have sent a warrior to Congress, and I can’t wait to fight for you each and every day,” he said. “To my Democratic colleagues, I look forward to working with each and every one of you.”
