14th Congressional District results could influence 2026 strategies

While Democrats lost a race in Georgia's 14th District Tuesday, they exceeded performance and tightened margins in the deeply Republican-red district.
Both political parties said the results of the election could inform their strategy this year.
Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Charlie Bailey said the party was encouraged by Democrat Shawn Harris’ performance in the 14th District and will dedicate more resources to supporting down-ballot candidates in hopes of flipping seats.
