A busy primary week wraps up Saturday in Hawaii. There are elections for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, U.S. House, and State Legislature.
Polls close at 7:00 PM local time, which is 1:00 AM Sunday Eastern Time.
The most closely-watched contest Saturday is for the Democratic nomination in the state's first congressional district.
Democrat Ed Case, now 73, has represented the district since 2019. He previously represented HI-02 from 2002 to 2007. Case faces a primary challenge from state Sen. Jarrett Keohokalole, who has argued that the district needs a younger and more progressive voice in Washington. Case has countered by pointing to his seniority and record of delivering for Hawaii.
