Illinois 13th U.S. House race: Nikki Budzinski builds big cash edge
Democrat incumbent Nikki Budzinski and Republican challenger Jeff Wilson have filed their first-quarter 2026 election reports, offering a look at the U.S. House race's fundraising and revenue patterns in Illinois' 13th Congressional District through March 31, 2026.
Budzinski boasted $2.45 million in total contributions for the filing period through March. In that filing, the Budzinski campaign reported $1.63 million in spending and $2.6 million in cash on hand. Meanwhile, Wilson appears to have raised just over $218,000 while spending nearly $200,000 on campaign expenses. The Wilson campaign reported roughly $26,500 in cash on hand, far below the $97,600 in remaining candidate loans.
In the FEC filing stretching from Jan. 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, Budzinski reported $2,404,302.18 in total contributions.
