Incumbent Miller builds wide fundraising lead over challenger Todd in Illinois 15th District race

The race to represent the Illinois' 15th Congressional District has sparked thousands of dollars in fundraising for incumbent Republican Mary Miller. Meanwhile, Democrat Jennifer Todd appears to be running a much tighter budget with much lower fundraising outcomes in the pair's U.S. House race.

According to the latest public Federal Election Commission filings for the election cycle, Miller enters the general campaign period with $833,235 in cash on hand and $34,505 in campaign debt. While the most recent campaign expenses appear daunting relative to cash on hand, Miller’s campaign operating expenditures through March 31 total $870,650 — national political action committees and fundraising partners have continued to support the campaign.
