US Rep. Mark Messmer invited to local town hall on Saturday — will he show?
Volunteer civic action organization Indivisible Evansville has invited Republican US Representative Mark Messmer to a town hall event on Saturday.
Messmer’s office was sent a letter of invitation, including a chance to talk about what he’s been working on, and address constituents via Q and A. (Full letter below.)
Messmer hasn’t appeared in a local town hall so far, since his 2024 election. The closest thing to a town hall was a virtual event in May of 2025.
Saturday’s meeting with town hall will be held at the Evansville Central Library at 2 PM.
Wendy Bredhold of Indivisible Evansville, is prepared, whether Messmer appears.

“… talking about who he is, trying to suss out what he's done — both as a member of Congress and when he was in the Indiana legislature, and where … a lot of his funding has come from and then invite people to talk about either what they've learned from the presentation and what they think about it.”
