National Democrats prioritize Kentucky’s 6th district, Zach Dembo
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The race for Democrats to take back the House of Representatives could very well run through Kentucky.
The Kentucky Democratic Party announced Aug. 20 that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) added the Commonwealth's 6th Congressional District to the Red to Blue program, prioritizing this year's race.
Getting put on that list means candidates receive top-tier support from the national party and access to a fundraising network they wouldn't have had before.
It could be a game-changer for Zach Dembo, the Democrat running for the 6th Congressional District.

Dembo spoke earlier in August at an annual Democratic dinner in Lexington, another possible sign of Democratic enthusiasm. Organizers said it was the most well-attended event in recent years.
