The Grand Isle Port Commission is proud to announce it has been awarded a $2.7 million Economic Development Initiative–Community Project Funding (EDI-CPF) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funding, secured through the support of Congressman Steve Scalise, represents the largest single federal grant award in the history of the Grand Isle Port Commission.
The grant will fund critical improvements to the Oak Lane Dock Facility and the Shrimp Dock Facility, strengthening infrastructure that serves Louisiana's commercial seafood industry while supporting economic development, job creation, and the long-term resilience of the Grand Isle community.
