Louisiana receives federal disaster aid for Tropical Storm Arthur recovery
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry and Congresswoman Julia Letlow have announced that all of the state's requests for support in parishes impacted by Tropical Storm Arthur have been approved.
President Donald Trump approved all assistance for Avoyelles, Pointe Coupee, and St. Landry Parishes, as well as for St. Charles and Winn Parishes.
This will make FEMA Public Assistance available for eligible government entities and certain private nonprofit organizations, including houses of worship in the five parishes, to support response and recovery efforts, including reimbursement for qualifying disaster-related costs.
