Second Congressional District primary race called for Olszewski

Rep. Johnny Olszewski (D-Md.) won the Democratic nomination for Maryland’s Second Congressional District, earning 87 percent of votes in today’s primary election when the race was called by the Associated Press.
Olszewski’s office said the victory reflects the strength of a broad grassroots coalition of volunteers, supporters, labor leaders, educators, environmental advocates and community members who rallied behind Olszewski’s record of delivering results and fighting for working families.
“I’m deeply honored and grateful for the trust voters have placed in me,” Olszewski said. “This victory belongs to the thousands of supporters, volunteers, and neighbors who believe government should work for everyday people.
