MARYLAND - Rep. April McClain Delaney won her Democratic primary, fending off challengers in one of Maryland’s most expensive congressional races.
Rep. McClain Delaney first won the U.S. House seat in 2024. A mother of four daughters whose husband previously represented the district, she campaigned heavily on issues affecting women. She pledged to protect reproductive freedoms following the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 decision ending the constitutional right to an abortion and leaving those decisions to individual states.
