3 candidates file in Third Congressional District
Three candidates have filed to run in the election for U.S. representative in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District.
With the filing window closing June 2, DFL Rep. Kelly Morrison will run for reelection after beginning her first term in 2025.
Tyler Bass and Quentin Wittrock have filed to run as Republican candidates, which means they will face each other in a Republican primary that will be decided Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Bass is the founder of At Home Fitness, an in-home personal training company. He expanded into additional ventures and later transitioned into construction, working as a general contractor completing interior and exterior projects throughout the Twin Cities.
Wittrock is the founder of the nonprofit forum Principle Based Politics. Before entering politics, he spent 32 years as an international business litigation attorney with a large law firm headquartered in Minneapolis.
