ST. CLOUD — U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., beat two Republican challengers in the Tuesday, Aug. 11, primary and will continue seeking another term representing Minnesota’s 6th District.
Emmer, 65, of Delano, pulled 80.91% of the vote with 276 of 276 precincts reporting, according to unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office.
“Jacquie and I are blessed for the resounding support and trust of voters across the Sixth District,” Emmer said in a statement to St. Cloud LIVE. “Minnesotans know what is at stake in November — it’s an election of chaos vs common sense, communism vs freedom. As your Congressman, I’ll continue standing up for our shared conservative values, working alongside President Trump to combat fraud, lower the cost of living, and advance our America First agenda.
