Talent of 7th District students showcased in 2026 Congressional Art Competition
WILLMAR — The office of Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach announced its winners for this year’s Congressional Art Competition.
The art of first- and second-place winners will be on display in Washington, D.C. Honorable mentions will be displayed in a district office in the 7th District in Minnesota.
In a written statement Fischbach said, “I appreciate each student taking the time to work on their art and submitting it to the competition. Thank you to the art teachers and school administrators who work to assist the students and encourage them in their creative ventures.”
This year’s 7th District contest winner, “Geese in Harmony” submitted by Kira Gurley of Redwood Valley High School in Redwood Falls, will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol, according to a news release from Rep. Fischbach’s office.
Second-place winner Griffin DeGroot, of Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg, will have his piece “Trout” displayed at Fischbach’s office in Washington.
