Minnesota 8th District primary results: Pete Stauber wins Republican nomination
DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Pete Stauber has won the Republican primary in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District, advancing to the November general election ballot.
Pete Stauber defeated opponent Anthony Hamilton in the two-candidate primary, winning with 87% of the vote.
Rep. Pete Stauber, a former Duluth police officer and St. Louis County commissioner, has represented northern Minnesota in Washington since 2019. Challenger Anthony Hamilton, a farmer from Mora, ran against the idea of a career politician.
