ST. LOUIS—Missouri Congressman Wesley Bell was on hand to deliver a $1.25 million check to the City of Saint Louis to support four local projects. This funding comes from the Community Project Funding (CPF) program, which allows members of congress to direct money to specific high-impact projects within their districts.
Bell says the money can help combat population and industry loss in St. Louis.
“There's a roadmap in order to turn this region around and we have to invest in the infrastructure right here in this central corridor and then build out from there,” said Rep. Wesley Bell.
The federal CPF investment will support developing a new port terminal on the Mississippi River, the Compton Bridge project and strengthen Fire and EMS training capabilities.
