August Primary: AP calls Mark Alford the Missouri House District 4 Republican nominee
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -The Associated Press calls Mark Alford the Republican nominee for Missouri’s 4th Congressional District.
With 67.7% of the votes in, AP has called Alford the winner for the nomination, with 57,489 votes, as of 9:25 p.m.
Alford beat out other Republican candidates Heather Shelton and Scott Vincent Vera.
The Democratic nominee is still being decided, as votes are currently being counted.
Alford will face off against the not yet announced Democrat nominee and the Libertarian nominee Thomas Holbrook in the November general election.
The district stretches from south Kansas City to the Lake of the Ozarks to the Marshfield area.
