‘The voters of this state do not suffer fools’: Goodlander decries DNC decision to make NH third in 2028 primary
LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) - New Hampshire Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander says her party’s recently announced presidential primary calendar for 2028 is a development “made at an out-of-touch national level.”
The Democratic National Committee has officially voted to put South Carolina first in its presidential nominating calendar, followed by Nevada. New Hampshire will go third. A similar calendar was adopted during the 2024 election cycle.
But state law requires that New Hampshire go first, and Goodlander says the law should be followed.
“The voters of this state do not suffer fools,” Rep. Goodlander told WCAX News. “They ask hard questions and they demand answers. And that is really what our country needs for this upcoming presidential election. We were denied a presidential primary in 2024, and I believe there have been many grave consequences.”
