NJ Governor Sherrill Heads North to Back Veteran Congressional Hopefuls in Massachusetts and New Hampshire
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill traveled to Massachusetts and New Hampshire on Wednesday, August 19, to campaign alongside three veterans seeking seats in the U.S. Congress.
The trip follows a series of endorsements issued this month by Sherrill and her Mission to Deliver PAC for veteran candidates across the country.
According to Insider NJ, the Mission to Deliver PAC has focused its backing on veterans willing to challenge what it describes as the Trump administration's impact on living costs and constitutional norms.
Sherrill herself is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, former Navy helicopter pilot, and ex-federal prosecutor who previously represented New Jersey's 11th Congressional District.
The veterans she campaigned with are Seth Moulton, who is running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts; U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander, seeking the seat in New Hampshire's Second Congressional District; and Maura Sullivan, a candidate in New Hampshire's First Congressional District.
