Mejia brings on new campaign manager for NJ-11 regular election
Alex Hernandez-Zapata will lead campaign; other staff staying on from special election
A month after winning a special election in New Jersey’s 11th congressional district, Rep. Analilia Mejia (D-Glen Ridge) is announcing a new campaign manager in her bid for a full term.
Mejia’s campaign manager will be Alex Hernandez-Zapata, who was until recently a staffer at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and who previously worked on the NJ Victory 2025 and Harris for President campaigns.
Remaining on the Mejia campaign will be Monica McCoy as field director, Camille Rivera as general consultant and senior advisor, Alvaro Perpuly as communications director, and Louis Di Paolo as press secretary; Rivera, Perpuly, and Di Paolo were all part of Mejia’s upset special primary victory in February, while McCoy joined for the April special general election.
