Ellman pitches solutions-focused campaign in bid against Tenney

Alissa Ellman knows it’s going to be a difficult task to convince enough voters to choose her over incumbent Congresswoman Claudia L. Tenney, R-Cleveland, in the race for Congress in New York’s 24th District, but she’s hoping that a policy-heavy, solutions-focused campaign will do the job.
In an interview with the Watertown Daily Times on Monday, Ellman, 42, said she’s focusing on articulating the policy solutions she sees to addressing the most important issues on voters’ minds, especially the cost of living and respect for rule of law.
“I think the top two issues are energy costs and a return to rule of law, which is something I’ve heard from many voters, many Republicans even who have reached out to this campaign,” she said.
