MANSFIELD — Brian A. Shaver has secured the Democratic nomination for Ohio’s 5th Congressional District, emerging from a four-candidate primary race Tuesday night.
Shaver defeated fellow Democrats Daniel John Burket, Martin M. Heberling III and Scott E. Tabor.
According to final unofficial results from the Secretary of State website, Shaver received 28.68% of the votes in District 5 and 29.36% in Richland County.
