Democratic primary heats up in Ohio’s 6th District as six candidates seek seat
Voters in Ohio’s 6th Congressional District will have a crowded Democratic primary ballot to sort through as six candidates compete for the party’s nomination ahead of the upcoming primary election.
jeff — Voters in Ohio’s 6th Congressional District will have a crowded Democratic primary ballot to sort through as six candidates compete for the party’s nomination ahead of the upcoming primary election.
Ohio’s 6th Congressional District includes all of Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Noble, Monroe, Mahoning and Washington counties, plus parts of Stark and Tuscarawas counties.
The district is currently represented by Republican U.S. Rep. Michael Rulli.
Democrats running in the primary are: Sean Connolly, Charles DiPalma, Brent Hanni, Elizabeth Kirtley, Malcolm Ritchie and Adrian Vitus.
Connolly said he wants to bring more industry and investment to the region.
