Jackson Lahmeyer withdraws from Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District Race
OKLAHOMA CITY — Jackson Lahmeyer has officially filed a notice of withdrawal from the race for Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District on Friday, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board.
Following this notice, candidate Mark Tedford is now unopposed in the August 25 Republican Runoff Primary Election and will be the Republican nominee for Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District.
On Monday, KTUL reported that Lahmeyer admitted on the social media platform X that he crossed a boundary by texting with a woman who isn't his wife.
The post came just hours after the British tabloid The Daily Mail published a story claiming that Sheridan.Church Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer had sent text messages to a campaign staffer and fundraiser, a woman who is also a former Miss Oklahoma USA.
