Speaker Mike Johnson campaigns with Ryan Mackenzie in Pennsylvania's 7th District
With the 2026 Pennsylvania elections only a few months away, House Speaker Mike Johnson visited the Lehigh Valley on Wednesday to speak in one of the nation’s most competitive districts where voters could help determine who controls the House.
Speaker Johnson campaigned with Republican Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, who is running for reelection in the 7th District. During the campaign event with volunteer firefighters in Upper Saucon Township, Johnson referred to the upcoming midterms as a “contrast election.”

“It’s a contrast between common sense and frankly, crazy, and that’s what the other side represents now,” Johnson said.
