Ryan Mackenzie touts first-term accomplishments in reelection bid. Is it enough to win Lehigh Valley’s battleground district?
Republican Rep. Ryan Mackenzie brought his 12 years of experience as a state representative in Harrisburg to Washington in January 2025, and hit the ground running.
He opened four district offices; authored bills that strengthened sanctions against Iran, expanded requirements to exclude unauthorized immigrants from job screenings; and approved funding for state maternal mortality review committees; and resolved over 5,000 constituent cases.
Now, Mackenzie faces a difficult reelection campaign in one of the most competitive, battleground districts in the entire country. Challenging him is Democrat and firefighter union chief Bob Brooks, who has aimed to tie Mackenzie to President Donald Trump’s unpopular policies and high prices of everyday goods.
