Campaign Finance: Breaking down funding and spending in the race for Pa.’s 9th District

Nearly $1.8 million has already been funneled into the race to represent Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District by the two candidates vying for the seat, according to data filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Incumbent Rep. Dan Meuser (R) and Pottsville native Rachel Wallace (D) will both run unopposed in Tuesday’s primary elections, becoming their parties’ presumptive nominees for the November General Election.

District 9 represents Schuylkill County and all or parts of 11 other NEPA counties in the U.S. House of Representatives. Meuser has held the seat since first being elected in 2018.
