Rep. Mace announces $23.5M federal grant to replace 18 aging South Carolina bridges
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — South Carolina will receive $23.5 million in federal funding to help replace 18 aging bridges across nine counties through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development program, U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace announced Tuesday.
The funding will support the South Carolina Department of Transportation's Bridge Package 22 project, which includes bridges in Berkeley, Colleton, Darlington, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion and Williamsburg counties. Several of the bridges are located within South Carolina's 1st Congressional District, which Mace represents.

Mace said she submitted a letter supporting the state's application for the grant.
