Four states held primary or primary runoff elections on June 23: New York, Maryland, South Carolina, and Utah. The most-watched contests were a set of Democratic primaries in solidly blue congressional districts in New York City, where intraparty ideological conflicts and major issues — including U.S.-Israel relations and artificial intelligence — occupied center stage. But other parts of New York and the other three states on the ledger also had plenty of noteworthy results.
