NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Rep. Andy Ogles has lost his bid for re-election to represent Tennessee District 5 in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republican voters instead voted to send Charlie Hatcher to the November 3 general election as their candidate, meaning that no matter the outcome this fall, incumbent Ogles is being unseated.

Ogles is a Tennessee native who has worked in the restaurant industry and real estate and served as the chief operating officer for Abolition International. Some of his main issues included immigration enforcement, education reform, protecting the Second Amendment and pro-life policies.
