Bauman wins GOP runoff for District 16, sets November race against Rep. Escobar
EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — Former Border Patrol agent Adam Bauman defeated Manuel Barraza in the Republican runoff for Congressional District 16, according to unofficial results called by the Associated Press.
Bauman received nearly 70% of the early votes, with Barraza taking 30% of the votes.
Bauman will now face Democratic incumbent U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar in November. Escobar, who is seeking her fifth term, ran unopposed in the March Democratic primary.
District 16 covers most of El Paso County.
