CBC Roundup: Dione Sims for (TX-25) - We don’t have to take this

On March 3, 2026, Dione Sims won the Democratic Primary for Texas’ 25th Congressional District, gerrymandered in August 2025 to include parts of 13 counties, including a portion of TX-33 (Rep. Marc Veasey). She will be facing 6-term incumbent, Roger Williams, who ran unopposed in 2022 and 2024 (when opposed in 2018 and 2020 he only got about 55% of the vote). It the 2025 gerrymandering that spurred Dione Sims to run.
Dione Sims earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University. In 2000 Sims founded Unity Unlimited, Inc., a Ft. Worth based nonprofit dedicated to unity, educational opportunity, and community understanding.
