Utah lawmakers back Anson in multi-program DoE grant applications
Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) has received strong support for its three grant applications submitted to the US Department of Energy (DoE), with backing from three key members of Utah’s delegation to the US House of Representatives.
If successful, the company intends to use the grant funding to develop the Green River Lithium Project in Utah, US.
Anson notes that Congressman Mike Kennedy from Utah’s Third Congressional District, Congressman Blake Moore from Utah’s First Congressional District, and Congressman Burgess Owens from Utah’s Fourth Congressional District have formally supported Anson’s submissions, making a request to the DoE for “full and fair consideration”.
The applications were made under three separate programs, including US$32 million ($46.1 million) for the Mines of the Future fund, US$10 million for the Mines and Metals Capacity Expansion fund, and US$100 million for the Battery Materials Processing and Battery Manufacturing fund.
