Burglary at Virginia Trump Campaign Office Under Investigation
A burglary over the weekend at a Virginia campaign office for former President Donald Trump is under investigation by local authorities. They are probing whether anything was taken during the incident.
The break-in took place on Sunday at a rented office in Ashburn, which serves as headquarters for both the Trump for President 2024 campaign and the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee, according to a statement from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office was notified around 9 p.m. and has obtained surveillance footage showing a person dressed in dark clothing, a dark cap, and carrying a backpack. Sheriff Mike Chapman described the incident as rare and vowed to identify the suspect and determine the motive behind the break-in. Efforts to contact the Trump campaign and the Republican Committee were unsuccessful.
