Congressional Republican primary candidate Gerald Malloy discusses his platform
Two Republican candidates are running in Vermont's Aug. 11th primary for the state's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives: Mark Coester and Gerald Malloy. Whoever wins the primary will face Rep. Becca Balint in the general election this fall.
Vermont Edition extended invitations to a debate to both Malloy and Coester. Both candidates declined. Vermont Edition also invited Coester for a recorded interview but thus far have not been able to schedule it.
Malloy is a U.S. Army veteran and defense contractor from Weathersfield. He's worked with Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Bowhead. He ran for U.S. Senate in Vermont in 2022 and 2024.
