Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District includes the western portion of Rock County, along with Dane, Green, Iowa, Lafayette and portions of Sauk County. Incumbent Mark Pocan is running against challenger Douglas Alexander in a Democratic Party primary Aug. 11. There is no opponent in the Nov. 3 general election.

What would you like voters to know about you on a personal basis?
Youngest of four; father a professor of Geography at UW; mother read a lot to us growing up: Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, Narnia series by C.S.Lewis. I grew up an avid reader. Madison, all of SW Wisconsin was a great place to grow up. Paperboy. Enjoy Ultimate Frisbee, jogging, swimming + cold plunges (I know, I know: I used to think that too!) ice skating, chess, board games, book clubs, TV: The Chosen.
