Congressman Moore wins millions in infrastructure funding for the region
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Congressman Riley Moore reports nine Community Project Funding requests from the Second Congressional District have passed out of the House Appropriations Committee. The measures are part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill.
On MetroNews “Talkline,” Moore said appropriations bills take on new significance in a midterm election year. There was plenty of politics and some last-minute maneuvering, but in the end the bill passed, and about $10 million is coming to the state for infrastructure projects.
“Per the usual because the margins are so tight in the House, it was a little touch and go on the floor for a second,” Moore said. “But, of course, we did what we always do and that’s figure it out at the last minute and pass the bill.”
