Ohio GOP Sen. Bernie Moreno said Tuesday that he had to pick up his granddaughter from a police station because he’s not sure what his ex-son-in-law, Rep. Max Miller is capable of.

During an interview with TMZ, Moreno said he doesn’t care about the politics of the whole situation.

Miller faces abuse allegations from his ex-wife. Sen. Moreno’s daughter Emily Moreno has accused Max of fracturing the collarbone of the two-year-old daughter they share together and physically abusing her.

Miller has denied all allegations and has released different files on the social media platform, X, to debunk the claims.

During his interaction with TMZ, Moreno said that every week that his daughter has to arrange pick up and drop off times with their daughter that they co-parent together.

“Just this Sunday I had to go,” Moreno said. “Imagine this. I had to go pick her up because I don’t want my daughter interacting with this man. So I meet him at the Bay Village police station because that’s the place that we have to go to meet because I don’t know what this guy’s capable of.”

He said that Miller kept his daughter’s favorite blue bunny from her even though she cried for it and needed it for sleep.

“Max would not hand over the little blue bunny,” Moreno said. “[He] literally held it hostage for 48 hours. This girl is crying at night because she can’t sleep at night without her little blue bunny. And his answer is, ‘I’m just not gonna give it to you.’

He said after a couple of days, Miller finally let her have the bunny.

“This is the level of total and complete depravity,” Moreno said.
