Kansas Democratic voters will have several candidates to choose from in the primary race for U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall's seat in the U.S. Senate.
The Kansas Secretary of State's Office had 14 total candidates file for the race, including 11 Democrats. Marshall and another Republican filed, as did one Libertarian.
Marshall, of St. John, is running for reelection. He will face a GOP primary challenge from Pond Naramore, of Lawrence.
The Democrats are as follows:
Damon Anderson, of Shawnee.
Christy Davis, of Cottonwood Falls.
Adam Hamilton, of Stilwell.
Jason Hart, of Wichita.
Kevin Latz, of Mission Hills.
Erik Murray, of Kansas City.
Sandy Spidel Nuemann, of Overland Park.
Anne Parelkar, of Overland Park.
Patrick C. Schmidt, of Topeka.
Michael "Mike" Soetaert, of Wellington.
Noah Taylor, of Kechi.
The primary election is Aug. 4.
David C. Graham, a Libertarian from Overland Park, is the only third-party candidate to file for the race. He will appear on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.
